The Donegal
Adventure Centre, which is long established as one of Ireland's lifeguard
training centre, is offering a very comprehensive range of courses this year.
Starting with both renewal and full
National Beach Lifeguard courses prior to Easter which is aimed at those wishing
to apply to County Councils for beach lifeguard positions this summer. This is
followed by courses in the April, May and June. So get training and get your

ACCOMMODATION and MEALS
The DAC and their

Cardiac
First Responder Course (CFR)
To the National PHECC Standard
Training includes CPR & Defibrillation, Treatment of Choking, Stroke and Heart
Attack.

conjunction with FAWTS the DAC are please to offer CFR courses to all members of
the public. See dates above.

AUTHORITY BEACH LIFEGUARD TESTS
To facilitate Lifeguards intending
to apply to their County Council or Local Authority for a position on a beach in
the Republic of Ireland, a One Day Preparatory Course for the County
Council (Local Authority) Beach Lifeguard Tests was held.
If you are interested in attending a
similar course in 2010 please register your interest with us in

NATIONAL BEACH LIFEGUARD COURSE INFORMATION
If you need technical information on the content of a NBLQ course then
contact me. Remember there are no
pre-requisites other than an ability to swim 400m in less than 8
minutesin a pool.However, it is an
advantage to be 'ocean friendly'.The
qualification carries International Recognition in a practical and
real sense and those that successfully attain the qualification and excel on
a course may allow their name to be submitted to the RNLI database with a
view to becoming a RNLI Beach Lifeguard in the future. Please remember that
attendance on a course does not
guarantee that you will achieve the qualification. It is wise to remember
that at the conclusion of the course there will be independent assessment by
Assessors on behalf of the qualifying body, Institute of Qualified
Lifeguards.
