What we Do ..................

IQL IRELAND promote the development of  RLSS National Lifeguard Qualifications,  and encourage the widespread adoption of water safety education, resuscitation skills and out-of-hospital defibrillation.

We administer a registration scheme (Approved Training Centres) for pools where  RLSS Lifeguard training takes place, ensuring that high standards are maintained and provide access to the latest educational materials from LIFESAVERS-RLSS.

Advice and consultancy services are available to leisure centres and pools which operate as Approved Training Centres within IQL IRELAND.  This to ensure that best practices and standards apply and conformity to the  Health Safety Authority regulations.

Training is provided to Leisure Managers/Pool Operators or to a designated person enabling them to deliver  RLSS  and ISRM education programmes at their own pools. Qualifications and awards are wide and varied, catering for all types of pools and activities.
