The Pool Lifeguard Trainer / Assessor Course

 Following on from the unprecedented success of the Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor programmes  and with the continued demand,  IQL IRELAND is pleased to announce that applications for a Pool Lifeguard  Trainer Assessor Courses (UNIT 1) and (UNIT 2) are open for the next course.

IQL IRELAND  organise Trainer Assessor Courses to enable those persons wishing to train professional Pool Lifeguards, within the industry recognised National Pool Lifeguard Training Programme, to gain the necessary Qualification. The courses are organised over 4 days and are non-residential.  Accommodation may be arranged if desired, and information will be sent on request to all Course Attendees with detailed joining instructions. Information regarding course fee may be had by contacting the relevant NTA.  As demand is likely to exceed the maximum number of places on any course, early application is always strongly recommended.

 The Course is Modular and will cover the key skills and tasks relating to the training and assessing of Pool Lifeguards. 

 Candidates will be continually assessed throughout the course and will be encouraged to develop their existing training skills through Group Exercises and the presentation of training sessions.

 Booking Forms must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit  or an Official Purchase order for the full course fee. 

Candidates for the course must hold a current (i.e. non-expired) RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, and must hold an aquatic Full Teachers Qualification e.g. ASA (any discipline), ISTA, RLSS, or Water Safety Ireland Instructors Certificate. Please also include a current “Lifesaving” C.V. with your application.

Training and Assessing Resource Pack, Pool Lifeguard Study Pack, Sample Training and assessing materials, Overhead Projector Slides (Masters on paper). Morning and afternoon tea / coffee will be provided.  Cheques etc. should be made payable to  "National Lifeguard Training Programme"

RLSS Individual Membership. If not already in personal membership, an additional fee is payable to cover this.
